Sand Springs Elementary is doing our school fundraiser this year with World's Finest Chocolate! The fundraiser will start tomorrow August 27th and runs through September 16th. Information should come home with your students today. Thanks for helping to support our school!

Tomorrow is the first day of school! We are excited to welcome back all of our students! First bell is at 8:50 AM and the late bell at 8:55 AM. Don't forget that Thursday and Friday this week are EARLY OUT at 1:30 PM.

Join Davis Reads 45 this summer! Students are challenged to read for 45 days, earning prizes every 5 days and a special end-of-summer event for those who complete the challenge. Pick up books during summer library hours. Families should check with their local elementary school for specific days and times. Regular summer reading helps prevent learning loss and supports continued academic growth. Contact your school or library to get started!

Davis School District has partnered with Waterford Upstart to provide our PreK children with an on-demand early learning program that gives you tools, coaching and resources so you can prepare your child for a bright future.

Program Benefits:

On Wednesday, May 20th there will be a Cultural Fiesta Parade at Sand Springs Elementary in the back area on the blacktop. Parents are invited to come and watch. It will begin at 9:15 AM and go until 10:00 AM. Students should wear their house shirts that day. It will be a fun and colorful event!

Tomorrow morning at Sand Springs Elementary is Donuts with Grownups! Come enjoy a donut with your favorite students. We will have a special table honoring the military families who are part of our school community. Gluten free donuts will be available for those that need.

Next week on Wednesday, April 15th from 6 PM to 7:30 PM, Sand Springs Elementary will be hosting Arts Night! The evening will be an opportunity for students to celebrate and display the art they have created, in the form of a gallery and in portfolios along with music and a variety of styles of the "arts". All family members are invited!
