Mrs. Jeppesen shared her Comanche Heritage with the first grade

Mrs. Jeppesen, one of our first-grade teachers, recently shared her Comanche heritage with all of the first grade in a meaningful and engaging way. She brought a variety of visuals and spoke about her Native American background, enriching students’ understanding of her culture. To make the experience even more memorable, her daughter joined her, and together they wore authentic Comanche clothing. It was a wonderful opportunity for first-grade students to learn about and appreciate a different culture. We feel truly fortunate to have Mrs. Jeppesen at Sand Springs Elementary, sharing her heritage with our school community.
