Today we are celebrating our School Nurse Jenna Simonsen and our Health Clerk Shirlee Dickson!
We are excited to introduce our new school nurse Jenna Simonsen. Jenna enjoys reading and painting, and she loves spending quality time with her husband and playing card games with her family. She also enjoys listening to music and traveling whenever she gets the chance.
Her favorite color is green, and she especially loves the spring season, when flowers begin to bloom and everything feels fresh and new. Diet Coke is her drink of choice, and she likes to end her day with a sweet treat.
Shirlee Dickson is our amazing Health Clerk, and both students and staff absolutely adore her. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Family Sciences, emphasizing Family Therapy.
Shirlee has been happily married to her best friend for 32 years. Together, they have four children—three boys and one girl—as well as two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, and two beloved dogs, Kevin and Oreo.
In her free time, Shirlee loves spending time with her family. She enjoys kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, playing games, reading, and going on vacation.
Miss Shirlee truly loves caring for students when they’re sick or injured at school. She believes she works with the most amazing staff and kids, and she genuinely loves her job.
We love having Miss Jenna and Miss Shirlee here at Sand Springs Elementary and appreciate all they do to care for our staff and students.
