Kari has 28 years of experience in education and has dedicated her career to helping students grow—especially in literacy, which is truly her passion. She believes there is nothing more rewarding than watching students discover the joy and confidence that come from reading and learning.
Outside of school, Kari’s greatest joy is her family. She has a 13-year-old son and two adult children who have blessed her with two beautiful grandsons. Spending time together is incredibly important to them, and they cherish every opportunity to make memories as a family.
They especially enjoy camping and spending time outdoors. Kari also loves shooting her bow, an activity she finds both relaxing and challenging. Another favorite family tradition is visiting Disneyland whenever they can—they love the magic and try to go as often as possible.
While she enjoys adventures, Kari is just as happy spending a quiet day at home working on puzzles, creating crafts, or reading a good book.
