This week, we celebrate School Psychologist Appreciation Week and recognize the incredible work of Austin Rogers, our school psychologist at Sand Springs.
As a school psychologist, Austin applies his expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to help students thrive academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. His compassionate approach and commitment to student well-being make a lasting impact on our school community every day.
In addition to his work at Sand Springs, Austin serves as the SPELL (Special Education for English Language Learners) Committee Chair for the district. In this role, he helps schools across the district navigate the process of determining special education services for students whose first language is not English—ensuring that every child receives the support they need to succeed.
Now in his fifth year with the Davis School District, Austin brings both expertise and heart to his work. Originally from Idaho, he enjoys spending time outdoors—especially fishing—and cherishes time with his family. He’s also passionate about writing and playing music.
We’re grateful for all that Austin does to support our students. Thank you, Austin, for your dedication and the positive difference you make every day!
