We appreciate our teacher's aide Holly Lund

September 22nd is Teacher Aide appreciation day!

Meet Holly!

Holly is a dedicated Special Education Teacher Assistant in Mrs. Andreasen’s ASC classroom at Sand Springs. This is her third year in the role, and she absolutely loves working with the amazing teacher and TA team in the classroom.

Holly and her husband have been married for 23 years and have lived in Syracuse for the past 18 years. They have three sons: a 20-year-old attending UVU, a 16-year-old junior at Syracuse High School, and an 11-year-old student at Sand Springs. Two of her children have autism, which sparked Holly’s passion for special education and led her to become actively involved in supporting students with unique needs.

In the spring, Holly and her family are heading out on their dream vacation to Japan! They've been planning this trip for years and are excited to experience cherry blossoms, visit beautiful shrines, and dive into Japanese culture. Her kids are especially thrilled for the anime and Pokémon adventures awaiting them.

Outside of work, Holly enjoys doing puzzles, decorating her home, shopping, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. Her favorite color is pink, and she loves treating herself to a good Coke or Dr. Pepper. A fan of chocolate—especially dark chocolate—Holly follows a gluten-free diet due to gluten sensitivity.

We’re so lucky to have Holly as part of the Sand Springs team!
