Meet Talea!
We are so excited to have Talea Sedgwick join us as a teacher’s aide at Sand Springs Elementary!
Talea and her husband have been married for 25 years and are proud parents of five amazing kids — all of whom have attended Sand Springs! She's been a part of the Sand Springs community for years, and now we’re lucky to have her on our team.
Lake life is the best life for the Sedgwicks! Talea and her family love boating, and you’ll find them at the lake nearly every weekend during the summer. Their favorite spots are Lake Powell and Flaming Gorge — they even spend a full week at each place every summer! Talea is all about the fun on the water — she loves wake surfing, wakeboarding, and skiing.
Talea grew up in Evanston, Wyoming, but has now officially lived in Utah longer than she lived in Wyoming. She loves to travel but also enjoys staying home and soaking up time with her family. Her favorite trip was a vacation to Argentina in May 2024 — unforgettable!
Though she’s a big fan of reading, her busy life means she’s now all about audiobooks. And when it comes to treats, she’s a big fan of Chick-fil-A, Diet Dr. Pepper, and pretty much anything chocolate.
We’re so lucky to have Talea’s warmth, energy, and love for learning in our school.
